Term 2 Week 6

The Activity I Did:

On Friday 10th of June a group 7 of kids went to Muriwai for a forest and beach horse trek. We rode through the mysterious forest and along the beautiful beach.

The Learning I Did:

On this trek I learnt how to steer a horse and I learnt how to make the horse slow down/stop. I also learnt how to calm down the horse when she spooked although it was really scary. I learnt that horses are pack animals so other horses actions affect their actions.

Opportunities or Possibilities:

I think the instructor could have ridden a calmer horse because his horse kept on spooking our horses which was pretty scary.

Plus I think next time I go riding could wear boots or bring a spear pair of shoes.

Term 2 Week 5

The Activity I did:

We went to HPSS and the music teacher talked to us about lots of different instruments and some kids played some of the instruments.

The Learning I Did:

We learnt what instruments went into what Instrument families. We also learnt about how the instruments work and we got to listen to them play the instruments.

Opportunities & Possibilities:

Next time they should have more people to play the instruments and I think the school kids could of been more polite.

The History Of Hip Hop/ Rap

This is a hip hop/rap video "The Message" by Grandmaster and The furious five. which was one of the many songs about how black people use to be slaves for the white people and how badly they were treated.

This is "Love on top" by Beyonce. I heard in both of the songs the same beat which has been in the history of music for centuries. 

My Learning Story
Term 2 week 4

The Activity I did:

We did a sketching immersion which is where we sketched without a rubber , we sketched fruit , the other half of our face and we collaged one of our pieces of art.

The Learning I did:

I learnt how to shade , do different textures of drawing , how to draw your face , what colours we could use for emotions and how to collage our pieces of art.

My  Possibilities & Opportunities

Maybe next time I could stretch myself with my art/drawing by trying more techniques on my pieces of art and I could of talked

less to my friends.

Term 2 Week 3

The Activity I did:

We had to take a side profile picture then we had to make digital art on google drawings with Amy.

The Learning I did:

We Learnt how to put our side profile picture on google drawings , outline our picture & then put words over the outlines then delete the outlines and we had our finished project.

Opportunities & Possibilities:

I could’ve maybe stretched myself a bit more by doing different fonts , different sized words and different colours for the words.
