My Measurement Maths Goals Practise

Today I started practising my measurement maths goals. I started out with calculating temperature change and converting between celsius and fahrenheit. I struggled with that but if I keep trying I know I'll get a lot better.

After that I practised reading a scale and I did pretty well at that. I don't really struggle with this I just have to work on reading the question properly. Meaning I can work the question out properly and get the right answer.

My Weekly Reflection On Perseverance

This week I tried working on my perseverance. On Wednesday I had Basketball. I've been really enjoying basketball which is funny because I thought I would hate it but turns out I love it. I used my perseverance by always trying and doing everything to the best of my abilities. For example we had shooting practice and every time I would make sure I'm doing it to my best abilities. Before that we had a team game and usually in sports I'm to scared to get out there and really play with my team but I really tried this time and I really got in there. With perseverance I need to try using my perseverance with everything I do and that's one of my big next steps.

Learning Pinyin - Culture Studies

On Monday the 22nd of may. Us year 8's had Chinese cultural studies session. Our Chinese teacher tought us about Pinyin and how we can use Pinyin to help us figure out the tradditonal chinese language. This session was very helpful for learning the chinese language.

We also used a webiste that had simple Pinyin and how to pronounce it.

After working on Pinyin we started learning about the Chinese zodiac. We learnt about how the 12 year zodiac cycle was created and how the animals were chosen for each year. By next week me and my group (Lilly and Maya) have to create a play
about the 12 year zodiac cycle and how the animals were chosen. I also really worked on my disposition of moving away if I'm getting distracted. Which I didn't have to do because I didn't get distracted. Next time I'll try and get better at Pronouncing Chinese Pinyin.

                                                                           

My Fair Trade Article

We had really good feedback. But the only thing we need to work on is our presenting skills aka explaining our project in more detail. I really enjoyed doing a project on a topic I’ve never done before. In our project we did had really good moments of great teamwork. But it didn’t happen all the time. A lot of the time some of my teammates wouldn’t even try and communicate with me or my other teammates. This made it really hard to even complete this project. This was a really good project for helping me get better at my writing. But If there is a next time I would try a lot harder to communicate a lot more.
